What is a detachable flange towbar?
A detachable flange towbar refers to the shape of the towbar neck and plate and it fixes underneath the bumper of your vehicle. The towbar is attached to the plate with 2 bolts and can be detached when you are not towing, so only the part where the towbar attaches to is visible.
Why choose a detachable flange towbar?
If you are towing a heavy trailer or caravan, a flange towbar is a great option. However, if you want to make reverse parking easier or avoid triggering your parking sensors, then a detachable flange towbar would be more convenient. Additionally, when you detach your towbar, you remove the risk of knocking your legs against it when you access the boot.
